How to run application in compatibility mode

Compatibility mode is a feature of windows that allows the user to run an application in the environment of a previous version of the OS. This feature is designed to run old applications on newer versions of windows which would otherwise give errors. During the arrival of windows 8 a lot of games could not work properly and would occasionally which was also the case between xp and vista. In these cases compatibility mode is useful because the application is given an environment of the OS you choose, thus working properly. The actual procedure is very simple. Follow these steps:-



1. Right click on the application and choose "Properties"

2. Goto "Compatibility" tab

3. From the list choose the operating system of your choice and click ok.

4. If the application still does not work properly, put a tick on "Run this program as an administrator"and click ok.

If your problem was that of compatibililty, it should be resolved now.
