How To Fix (Flash) Your Dead Nokia Asha Using Phoenix Service Software

No comments :
In this post i will explain how to fix your 'dead' Nokia phones using Phoenix Service Software. Normally when a phone does not boot we can try the three button reset (more information can be found in this link). However if your phone does not light up at all, you must use this method to fix or refurbish your phone.
First of all you must download phoenix software through this link.

After downloading phoenix you should download the specific firmware of your phone using navifirm or by simply searching the web. When you search the web remember to name your phone using RM-xx label. Look below the battery of your phone to find this number. Search for "firmware of rm-xx" in google to find it's firmware. If you don't want to go through all these hassle you may try navifirm for downloading the firmware. As navifirm downloads directly from nokia it's reliable compared to a firmware found in the web.

After downloading  the firmware install the phoenix software and place the firmware you downloaded to
                         in 32 bit systems:
                                                      C:\Program Files\Nokia\Pheonix\Products\RM-xx

                         in 64 bit systems:
                                                      C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Pheonix\Products\RM-xx

Things To Take Care Of:

  • Make sure your phone has enough battery charge before flashing.
  • Only use this method if your phone doesn't show the nokia logo when starting the phone, if it does, go to this link.
  • Only use this software if you are desperate, it is not meant for consumer use.
  • Make sure your USB cable is firmly attached to the system and your phone.
  • Remove the phone's SD card and SIM before flashing.

Then open the Phoenix software and connect your phone into the pc using usb cable. Make sure your phone is off. Select the connection as No Connection. Then go to File----Open Product

Now select the model name of your phone in the list(RM-xx).

Now go to Flashing-------Firmware Update---------(Press on the three .... in the top right)-----Choose a region.

Now tick the check-box saying "Dead USB Flashing" and Finally click on "Refurbish". The flashing process should begin immediately"

After the flashing process the phoenix will show a window showing that firmware update has succeeded.

If it helped you please comment.
